Definition of lack

God does not want us to live in a state of lack. We serve a God of generosity and abundance. There is no way we can co-live with lack.

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭23:1‬ ‭AMP‬‬ [1] The Lord is my Shepherd [to feed, to guide and to shield me], I shall not want.‬‬‬‬

If there is a lack in your life, it is most likely because you don’t realize that you don’t have to accept it. You don’t have to live with it. Instead, you can ask God to provide for you in the area where you feel you are lacking.

James‬ ‭1:5‭-‬8‬ ‭NIV‬‬ [5] If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. [6] But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. [7] That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. [8] Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.‬‬‬

Lack is a mindset. I don’t want to diminish the significance of real-life scarcity, but if our minds remain focused on what we lack, that’s all we’ll ever possess. It becomes our reality—the only thing we see—and consequently, all we’re willing to accept.

Luke‬ ‭22:35‬ ‭NIV‬‬ [35] Then Jesus asked them, “When I sent you without purse, bag or sandals, did you lack anything?” “Nothing,” they answered.‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬‬
